Very nice. I too have to decide real quick to get a 6.2L or not. I think it will be cool to have one of the last big V8's. They are going away real soon. Your mileage kills my EB. I'm currently averaging high 13 mpg with 50/50 driving. Keeping up with traffic and most times ahead .

Yeah mine has the 3.73 gears as well. So I thought for sure the gas milege would suffer more. But knowing my lead foot, I'm sure I won't get it anywhere as high as the dealer did.

Totally!! Where do I get those at? I've also seen others that just bought some kind of black out spray to go over them too??

Yeah, this is why I made the purchase, last chance I could grab an F150 with the 6.2 in it. Who knows, maybe it will hold resale better because of the rarity of it once it's gone in 2015. Better get them now while you can...otherwise the only way in the future would be to find a used one.

The dealer also told me they are doing completely away with the Raptors!! Anyone know any truth to that??

Question, on the spec sheet for the FX appearance package, it says it has a Flow-Through Center console?? Anyone know what that is?? Mine doesn't really look any different than the regular version I test drove before (aside from the trim being blacked out).

I wanted the 6.2 (Only because it doesn't have that stupid EPAS system) but couldn't find one loaded up how I wanted and at a reasonable price. So I settled for the 5.0L but I have no regrets.

Congrats on the new truck!

Also.. anyone that has a Cold Air Intake, do you notice any real increase in performance?? Reason I'm asking is for the F150 intakes I noticed that none on the market are true COLD AIR. Meaning, the intake does not follow down any plastic molding to the bottom of the truck to get the cold air. It's just basically a upgraded intake in the stock intake location. So wasn't sure if it does much??

(In my last car, pontiac G8 GT, the CAI had plastic tubing which went all the way to through to the bottom of the car to help suck in Cold Air).

Yeah I feel your pain! An F150 with the 6.2 in it is virtually impossible to find. They don't produce to many like that and often times have to be ordered that way to get it. I spent countless hours looking and the closest one I could find was over 300 miles away in MN. ( I live in IL). Fortunately my dealer was able to trade one of their trucks as collatoral and go get it for me.

In addition to the front temperature control air vents, there is plumbing that flows air under the console to 2 vents on the rear of the console.

Flow through just means the air can go through the console, explaining the vents at the back of it.

Unlikely. No one knows for sure (and a dealer most of all). The current rumor is that they won't make one in 2015 but it will return in an aluminum body in 2016. But speculations runs the gamut of an Ecoboost Raptor to the 6.2L hanging around just for the Raptors. The SVT engineers were not saying, and no one at FoMoCo has issued a statement, so it's all speculation.

Ford will be offering a specialty off road truck for sure. Economics make that an almost certainty. Whether that will be a Raptor, a Bronco, or something entirely new is unknown. The 6.2L is not going away. Ford just signed a contract to provide that engine to some boat builder. It may linger as a specialty option as long as there are customers who prefer a big V8 over other smaller options.
