If this is the same dealer that told you it's ok to drive with bad timing components, I'd say find another dealer. Maybe ask an independent shop for an unbiased opinion.

I am taking it to another dealer soon. Third times a charm hopefully. I had a third party opinion and the shop says it's not right which I know it's not. Scanned with snap on scan tool and 2 cylinders are under contributing but not misfiring. You can see the seat vibrating.

see what that POS dealer would give for a trade in.

Cant wait to hear, “well we know it has problems, so....”

What did they replace, just some timing components? Could do a compression test, see if anything is off, and have the next dealer start there.

They offered 14k for trade in. I'm not willing to take a beating on something that has caused me grief so long just yet. I love the truck otherwise. I could do a leak down and a static test just to see. I just don't know what I can and can't do to a warrantied engine. I'd also like to know how a reman engine can have a std. Tag on the side. How do you reman an engine and not machine anything...

I should have never paid for the warranty and just fixed the issue myself because it's looking like I'm going to have to anyway or get rid of it.

I have exactly the same noise in my 2014 and after 5 trips to the dealership and 5 responses of “we can’t hear it” or “everything sounds normal” I stopped stressing, said f**k it, installed a tune, and am just driving and enjoying the truck. Warranty has since expired. If something goes wrong then I’ll deal with it then. But I was tired of the truck bringing me constant stress since, like you, I love everything else about the truck.

The ford reman tag glued to the side of the block that says everything is standard size. How is the bore standard size on a rebuilt Engine? Crank size I'll buy but definitely not the bore.

Kind of in a holding pattern until I get my secondary transportation up and running good. Should be within the next week or two. The other dealership I am taking it to does not have a loaner fleet. Truck is still noisy at about 1500 miles. Runs ok but definitely idles not the smoothest. I am planning to do a compression, leak down and an oil pressure test before it goes.
