2014 Expedition???
Was in a Ford dealer today and was looking at some literature for the 2014 Expedition. I noticed that they are using the 5.4 motor in this...........is this the old 5.4 or the new coyote engine???
If it is the old..........why would they niot use the new coyote motor???

Ford really doesn't care about the Expedition anymore. Look at the 2015 model, such a poor poor effort compared to GM's new line.

Couldn't agree more. I'm not a huge GM fan but I'll give them props for their new SUV lineup. There is still a large full-sized SUV market and Fords new Expedition isn't delivering enough "wow-factor" to compete effectively. To me, its like a blackberry trying to compete in today's smartphone industry.

Please name ONE thing the GM twins will have that the 2015 Expy doesn't. I'll help you NOTHING. This was discussed at blueoval forums. Many people felt the same way as you, but folks ran all the options and standard features and the Expy is actually better. Largely is part of GM's lame third row seat and crazy price tag. A fully optioned GM was hitting $71,000. The highest you could build a Ford King Ranch was 69k. With the EB coming it will **** on the GM's 5.3L.

The only thing GM has is the Mommy factor. Soccer Mom "A" see's soccer Mom "B's" and wants the same thing. Not saying the GM twins are ugly or junk, but if you REALLY cross shop the 2015 Expy with them the difference may surprise you.

I traded in a 2007 Expedition XLT for our 2013 F150 FX4. I hated that thing and was glad to get rid of it. Before that we had a 1997 Expedition and we loved it. In fact, if I was looking for a full size SUV I would look for a first generation and refurb it before buying a newer gen expy.
