Default 2014 Ball Joint?

So I have a 2014 SCREW 4x4 with roughly 25k on the odometer. I've been noticing a single pop/click when I'm backing into my driveway or backing up with wheels turned. It only does it once and doesn't keep popping, although I've never tried going in circles backwards. I initially thought it was something with rear suspension as i went over lip of driveway, but I noticed backing out of spot at the firehouse it does the same thing and there is no lip, but my wheel is turned typically toward left; even when backing into driveway the wheel is turned to the left (meaning if I was going forward I would be turning left).

Now what I initially though was leaf spring, could it be a ball joint? No grinding so I dont think its a bearing. It seems a bit premature for a ball joint. Can I grease the joint to see if it goes away? Also NO LIFT.

I guess I have to jack it up and move the wheel up and down?

If it were me I would start with jacking it up like you said just to start trying to pinpoint it, it does seem a little soon for a ball joint but maybe you hit something?
It can be hard to pinpoint from the drivers seat.
Good luck
And if you were at the firehouse because you are a first responder.... Thank you for your service

Yeah I'm a bit surprised this early. Still need to bring her in for the seat clearance recall, but I utterly hate going to the dealership. Will check out later today.

No need to thank me. I love it, especially when we make someone's day better.

Mine just started doing this last week. Noticed too backing into my driveway. Pop coming from left front. 25,000 miles 2014 stock SuperCrew 6.5ft. box. 4x4 5.0L.

Interested to hear what your dealer says.

Enginner I'll let you know what they find if I drop it off. My rear slider defroster appears to have gone on me as well. I really don't want to drop this thing off but it's pointing that way.

I just googled it. I think my build date is May 2014, but I'll have to see if it does this in idle as well. Normally I'm backing up for a few seconds before it does it, its not Reverse, top gas and bang/pop/smash/wham. Its usually, reverse for a couple seconds and then it makes the noise.

Not the ball joint, as I jacked up by the lower control arm and no movement at all. I'll try greasing the steering stops in case its those.
