2014 or 2015 ?
I'm currently driving a 2005 supercrew 4x4 lariat with 290,000 kms, and it is time to trade.
I love the looks of the new 2015 models, but am concerned about issues with a new model makeover. The 2014 Platinums are a beautiful truck as well.
Would I regret buying this new model ?

I just traded up to a '14. Mainly because i was warned by my dealer about availability of the 15's and I am also not an early adopter. I like to see new gen models go through a cycle or 2 first.

I bought my truck back in June. I was in a little bit of a time crunch .. could have waited till the end of this year but wasn't going to wait till 2015/2016. I debated a bit on getting a '14 vs '15. You'll get a better deal on a '14 but then it boils down to how much you'll want the Aluminum body and whatever design / feature changes are in the new truck. Now offset that with knowing first production runs usually have issues and get fixes a year or two later. Weight that and see which works better for you. For me it was get the '14.

from what I read, the price difference between the two years is under $1000 throughout the lineup it doesn't make financial sense to buy the "old body-style" just like anything else when something newer and better looking comes out it kills the value of its predecessor. Go for the 15.

When was the last big redesign? 2011?
If I had to guess, the 2015 will likely have less issues than the 2011's did initially
Why? Because it seems each subsequent year they improve and have less recalls/tsb's/annoyances.
Just an opinion I have no facts to cite
