Default 2013 xlt radio burning up

I had an issue with my 2013 xlt radio a couple of weeks ago where it would come and go then it eventually went out. I replaced it and the new one literally burnt.. I had smoke pouring out of the dash. Any recommendations on where to start looking?

I'll be honest, I don't know what the heck you are talking about, what is a cult rail?

Maybe its the table that they keep the special kool aid on to get to the mothership behind Hailey's comet?

How was the original one acting up? speaker cutting out, balance or fade was off, etc.?

It would just go black on the screen. I could turn the truck off and back on and it would work again. It just went black on the screen and wouldn't come back on. I put the new one in and it played fine for one day and you could literally hear it burning through the speakers and began to smoke.

My first thought would be a bad ground somewhere.

Are you running any aftermarket equipment? Only thing I could think of is you're back feeding something into the stereo.

Nothing is aftermarket. Do these trucks have factory external amps?

Some trucks had subs as OE equipment. It'll be under the passenger rear seat if you do I think.
