2013 xlt aftermarket stereo?!
I have a 2013 xlt with the 4.2" sync system. Curious if anyone has had any luck with finding a kit yet? if not, how long does it typically take for manufacturers like alpine, scosche and metra to come out with solutions?!?!

I spoke with both Metra and Scosche yesterday and both are giving a ETA around November time. This for both the wire harness and Dash kit.
Sucks that these guys will release a product nearly a year and a half after the 13 arrived. Seems very bad for business if you ask me.

I have already upgraded the speakers. components all around. 2 kicker 12s under the seat. picked up this super sweet 5 channel amp to run it all! just... I find myself having thoughts of aggression using the stock system. certainly not the worse- but frustrating nonetheless

Liinxcore, I did pretty much the same set up, only a 4 channel and mono for the amp. Makes a huge difference to the volume and a bit better on quality. However the Stock HU is the bottle neck to the great system.
I have been looking at a few options to replace my LOC.
The cheaper route and has plenty of great feedback as well as negative feedback is the JL Cleansweep.
The more expensive and more difficult option is the Rockford Fosgate 360.3.
Havent heard much of people using these on our truck, at least not with a quick search. But would be interested in the response of others using the CleanSweep, and if it is really a good sound processor that will clean up the sound very well.

Ipad is what I am also considering, However you will still need a good sound prcessor to clean up the factory EQ. Thinking I am going to try the CleanSweep, If I dont like it, Ill return it.
Ipad mini should fit nicely within the factory MFT 8 inch opening.

mine sounds good enough with the addition of a kicker 8 inch solo baric.... i dont see the need for a clean sweep. It will play audio exactly how it plays audio now on my iphone (sounds great)
