These trucks seem to have some electrical gremlins in them. I was having the same wiper problem for a little while but then it started behaving normally and hasn't acted up since.
Also I was dozing off in the truck today while the women shopped when suddenly the gauges turned on all by themselves. Odd.

Not as lucky as I thought. They started acting up again. Disconeccted sensor in windshield, restarted truck they now work normal. So much to rain sensing.

I'm having the same issue with my '13 FX4 Screw . We've been having a lot of mixed rain/snow here the past couple days and I jumped in my truck for a short drive, put the wipers on and got one wipe, then nothing else. I have to bump it all the way up to get them to work, but they have completely stopped working on any of the lower settings. It's becoming a bit of a problem with the weather around here lately. I wouldn't have expected this in a truck with less than 13k on the odometer that sits all week until weekends. Going to have to schedule an appt with a dealer when I get a chance.

Sorry tothemax, I haven't been on in a while. Apparently it was a bad wastegate, luckily fixed with 2K left on the warranty. They replaced the whole drivers side turbo assembly. No issues since with another 23K on the clock.
