2013 warpped Rotors
My first post and I'm ranting...!
We have a 2013 F150 Platinum with the tow package. 28,000 miles and it is in the shop with 4 warped rotors. I haven't even had a chance to use it for what it was intended for. I bought this to tow a boat that I haven't purchased yet. How do you get 4 warped rotors under normal daily driving conditions. I have did some searching and it appears to be somewhat of common issue. Now I'm told it's not covered under warranty. Doesn't 36,000 mile bumper to bumper cover rotors?
So my big concern is they are replacing the rotors with oem. I'm expecting the new ones will warp just as easily. Can anyone recommend a heavy duty aftermarket rotor?
Thanks

Its normal on the f150, unfortunatly.... Ive never had a rotor or brakes go bad on any of my gm trucks in over 100k miles, but apparently the Ford brake components arent that great!
Most go with powerstop crossdrilled & slotted rotors, or just some sort of aftermarket setup! As anything seems to be better than Fords stuff.

I'm in the same boat so to speak, I only have 8800 miles on my 13 and it's been shaking at hwy speed braking for at least 3000 of those miles, I bought a pair of drilled and slotted rotors to replace them with, yet to be installed, but anything has got to be better than what it came with, pads still look like new.
Your rotors can be charged back under warranty within 3/36 provided the pads are not worn out, if the pads are worn then it's considered a consumable item.
Bad part is all they will do is resurface the rotors making them even weaker so it's really not worth the hassle.
I forget what brand I went with, but folx that have used them have good reviews.

Great brakes and great price! Look at Amazon. Whatever you do, don't go back to OEM. Also dealerships charge way too much for parts and install for brakes. Stay away.

I'm told my brakes have wore out I'm at about 50,000km which is about what you have. I'm shopping around now as we speak. No way in hell would I let some shop put brakes in for the price they want. Especially for more crap OEM
