Default 2013 USB2 Mod

I have mounted a Nexus 7 on my dash and am wanting to install a USB port in the tray on the dash, mainly for charging purposes for the tablet. I've been searching and haven't been able to find where anyone has looked at the back of the 2013 to see if there is another USB port. I know there are 2 in the console now so the assumption seems to be that both slots would be taken. If that's true, I think I could install a hub or a Y-Adapter and still accomplish what I'm wanting to do. Has anyone tried anything like this on the 2013? Also, does the USB2 still have power going to it when it's not in use by SYNC? If it won't charge while not being utilized for input it would be useless for me to go this route anyway and I would have to find another option. Thanks in advance for any insight or suggestions.

Be careful the usb on my 2013(tried both on the back of the sync module) didn't have enough amp supply to charge/run my galaxy s4. You might just need to get a 2amp usb plug adapter to charge/run it.

I was afraid of that. I checked the nexus charger and it is a 2 amp charger. I still want to figure out how to run a port up to the tray on top of the dash though instead of a plug adapter. I don't want the wire to always be in the way. Unfortunately I don't have a lot of experience with this kind of thing. Any suggestions?
