So I was not the only one that just could not let the 32GB Zune HD die ...anyhow like others have said get a 32 GB or 64 GB USB flash disk. These are much more responsive with MFT than the Zune HD. I think there is some pretty good info on how to structure the folders to make it quicker. I have an Ipod Touch, but too Lazy to plug it in to compare performance.

The BIG problem.... I use a Microsoft Zune HD 32 gb for my music (I know right??) and now it sucks. On a road trip after about 30-45 minutes of driving and constantly indexing it will begin to work right. Guess what happens when you turn off the truck? Next time you turn the truck on it does the same thing all over again. EVERY TIME. I had some glitches before with my Zune HD but nothing near this bad and I could always fix it.

Now? I am looking to have it fixed or just go back to my previous firmware. Preferably have Ford fix it so I have the advantages of the newest firmware. This sucks....

Well the reason I have stuck with the Zune and their software is because I have been on a Zune Pass for over 5 years. I have PLENTY of music that is subscription only (rented). Now I gotta go buy it all? That is a lot of money at one time...

I think you can turn those guidelines off in the settings menu. This update turns on some backup camera functions (color boxes) automatically.

Prior to the update, you could turn the guidelines off. I just got off the phone with Ford tech support and there is in fact no way to turn them off now. Unbelievable for a truck that is intended to tow. I asked if I could go back to the previous firmware and naturally the answer was NO.

Ford blew it on this one. If you have a truck and use the rear camera to help hitch your trailers and have a Easylift style hitch head, NO NOT INSTALL THIS UPDATE.

The new release has many new features and is more stable. For me it's MUCH better. For the guideline shadowing the ball on the hitch I simply hit the "➕" magnify button. Works like a charm when I backup to my boat.

I updated to newest version a few weeks ago. Much more stable and responsive. Very pleased.

When the salesman setup my Sync in my truck, he said that the text options weren't working well with some phones, has anyone else experienced this?

Yeah, I tried that but it just magnified the black dotted line covering my hitch...still can't see it.

This whole system has me ready to take a sawzall to my dash and cut the dang thing out. MFT/Sync/call it whatever you want. I have grown to detest the entire system in general. Love the truck, hate the big screen in the middle of the dash that works about half the time at best.

A couple weeks after buying the truck phone wouldn't pair anymore. Dealer updated, problem solved.

A couple weeks later phone wouldn't pair anymore. Dealer updated again, problem solved.

A couple more weeks go by and phone won't pair again. Dealer updated again, problem solved.

Guess what? A couple more weeks go by and phone won't pair again. Told dealer to keep it until it was fixed for good. They ordered a new one, new brain or whatever it was, and replaced it. Worked great for a couple months.

For the record. Every time I couldn't get my phone to pair I tried four other phones to verify my phone wasn't messed up. They all failed to pair.

Latest problems.

Bluetooth works intermittently. Moves back and forth between hands free and voice going through phone randomly. Never know how I'm supposed to talk to the person I'm having a conversation with. Half the time after ending the call the screen shows call to be over but the system stays locked up for a few minutes before allowing radio to play again.

Tried to use nav this past weekend while out of town. After entering the address the screen would lock up for at least five minutes before allowing the route to go through. This happened four different times.

Baffles the hell out of me how I can have a ten minute conversation via Bluetooth on hands free, hang up the call, then give a voice command asking for Bluetooth stereo only to get a reply saying there is no Bluetooth device connected. How the hell can one not be connected if I just had a conversation on it?

Got the letter last week informing of the available update. Actually got excited thinking this could possible remedy a few issues at least. Log in to my account, download file, move file to memory stick via a USB card reader first. No dice. Can't read file. Format card and try again. Same thing. Can't read file. Get a USB flash drive, clear it and format it, move file to it, plug in to truck. Guess what? Can't read file. Tried that three more times with the same results.

Plan to call dealer tomorrow and let them deal with it. This crap shouldn't be this damn difficult for the $46,000 I spent on something I should be able to enjoy.

Man, I must be good at breaking up a party. This thread was rocking like a concert until I replied. After my reply I hear nothing but crickets.
