Default 2013 Traction Control, I want it gone.

I want to completely and permanently turn off traction control and the ABS if possible. (2WD)

I did a search and some said to pull fuse 36 and 47 in a 2 year older truck, but it gives a trouble light? Will this work in 2013?

Also that pulling the ele connector on the rear end will also turn off TC.
FYI, the only vehicle accident I was ever in was due to ABS brakes. (hate them)
There is no snow here.

Pull all you want. When you hit someone, and their lawyer / insurance company discovers that you disabled your ABS, they will own you.

Wow you are like hemorrhoids.
You could unplug the ABS module or cut the wire to the motor. It should still set a code.
Is your insurance company OK with this?

Do you hate everything about this truck?

Traction control, lights, commercials on your screen...

Maybe you should just sell the truck.

Unless you have been living under a rock the last 10 years these things you want gone are standard in almost all vehicles now. Get over yourself and learn to adapt to the new world.

There isn't an easy way to permanently disable it, but if you hold down that button above the radio screen for about 5 seconds, it should fully disable the AdvaceTrac, which include the Traction Control. Just pressing it won't fully disable it, so make sure you hold it down.

You could probably pull a fuse to disable the ABS, but I'm sure your dash will show a light warning you that the ABS isn't working.

You can see the button I'm talking about here.

Thanks for the reply, yes, I have that button, but it is worthless if over 35mph if I am reading right.

If I want to power slide around a dirt road turn, I can't and it will cause me to go into the ditch.

PS, I have not purchased a new vehicle in over 12 yrs.

I remember when the driver controlled the vehicle, not the vehicle controlling the driver.
Yes, I may need to get rid of it, it reminds of of obama.

f**k, that Obama crap is getting old f'in quick!!!

EPA, safety nannies, crash zones, etc, were in place long before Obama was even a senator... you need to sell your POS truck and get a Model T already... at least you wont blame it on Obama, he wasnt born then. (btw, saw a Model T the other day, sweet!)

or, just pull the fuse and go powerslide your heart out!
