Default 2013 tow mirrors

Just added oem tow mirrors (power fold w/ side markers) to my '13 fx4.

Super easy install. Got it all buttoned up and my side clearance light do not work. They are working as a puddle light. Fade on with an open door, and fade off when shut. Signal light works, folding works, and the mirrors adjust fine.

Is there something I'm missing? Is there some wiring that needs to be done also?

From the factory they are designed to work as a puddle light. But quite a few people do change the wiring to make them work as a clearance light.

I find that picking up power from the passenger side fuse box is the best way to accomplish this.

Do a search to find numerous threads about wiring up the lights on your mirror.

Here's one - scroll down to post# 74, and also look at some at the very end of the thread:

Perfect. Thank you

I just assumed the f150 mirrors functioned the same as a 250/350.

Mirrors look great! Did you paint the caps yourself or did you order them already painted?

Thanks for the pictures. Those mirrors are on point. Do you happen to have a part number handy?
