2013 Screw larit, how to drop the back seat seat back
I saw a video of a "hidden latch" behind the back of the back seat that would allow the back to come down and expose some storage...the guy drilled a hole in the pin and attached a ring and cord to make it easier...
Does the 13 have this latch ?? I cant find it |
Yes it does. It's easier to get to with the seat bottom folded up but not locked. I did that on my 13 Screw, but have since installed a kit sold by a vendor on here. Search Builtright Industries to find it. I've been using it for a while and it makes accessing that area a breeze.

did this as well on my 2013 SCREW. look them up on youtube and theres several videos. helps to open the rear slising window so you can see behind the seat. |
As said, lift the rear seat. That will give you more room to get to the pin. I use a box end wrench to life the pin.

I can't feel the pin,, I'll try looking theu the rear window |
I have the Built Rite release on mine and love it. In-expensive and easy to install. Factory look also. |
I found the release but I don't think I'd ever store anything there anyway |
It's a great place for extra storage. I think the kit is a waste of money. Cost me about a dollar for a split key ring and paracord to do both sides.

I broke my drill bit off in the pin |
I store my jumper cables, tire 4 way and a first aid kit back there. Get you a Long box end wrench as it makes it very easy to get ahold of the pin the first time. just loop it around and you can easily pop it
