Default 2013 Roof Rack options

I have a 2013 F150 Lariat super cab. I have been trying to find a removable roof rack I could use on the roof. I went to a rack specialist "rackattack" in Massachusetts. The had a Thule rack system that was supposed to work. The struggled to get it on, then they called the Thule company. Thule told them the rack system is not long recommend for 2009 - 2014 f150 because of fit issues. Yakama does not make anything for this truck. Has anyone found a roof rack system that actually on a 2013 F150?

Please help.

You either need to drill the roof, which I wouldn't recommend as it's mostly just a skin, or you need a topper that you can mount tracks, towers and crossbars too.

This looks like it would work.

Thank you. The rack store tried to sell the the rack with the drilled holes. I said no way. I still can't believe there are no good options with such a popular truck.

Thank you, I will check this out, and look into the return policy just in case it does not fir right. I was told Thule has no intention of coming up with a fix for the 2009 -2014 trucks. Yakama told us they would not do it either.

Yep. Options are limited. So tell me...what are you looking to carry? There are some less invasive options over the bed. I've got some shop experience with racks and would be happy to assist.

I am looking to carry two Kayaks. I do have a hitch T mount that is the height of the roof line for the back so I could put the back end on that, then I wanted to put the front of the kayak in the rook rack. I was also thinking of putting both racks on the roof then putting the kayak on those racks. I have a roll up tonneau cover, so I don't have much bed rail access.

This is supposed to work with the Access cover and other inside the rail mounted roll up covers. Not sure what brand you have but they all pretty much mount the same.

Ahh you're in a similar situation that I was. The rollup cover does make things more challenging for sure. Thules modified rack needs inner rail space. There are some collapsible options that would require you to access the stake pockets. Minimal cutting and could be reversed if needed. A rack above the bed, like a contractors rack that clears the cab, is likely your best option.

That rhino rack looks great. Doesn't clamp onto the weather stripping, and just slides right underneath it.
