2013 Remote Start
#12
Hey can anyone give me the instructions for the dealership to activate the remote start. I got the 100 series and did the install. The dealership seems to be lost. The first one said programming the keys should get it to work and the other said they didn't know anything about it and would find out and get back in touch. Thanks

I didn't bother reading everyone elses reply, but I bought my truck last weekend and had them put that remote start on it for me. It's installed and working fine for me.

Get the new keys cut by anyone with a key machine, I did my own at work, you can program the keys yourself.
Put one of your original keys in the ignition and turn to run, wait for the gauges to cycle, now take the 2nd programmed key in and do the same thing, now take one of the new keys and repeat and again with the other new key.
Now you have 4 programmed keys. Dealer still has to activate the remote.

Your not paying for what the tech does, your paying for what he knows. Costs a lot of money and years of training to know how to do what they do.
I was a Ford tech for 11 years.
