2013 rear view mirror wiring
Hey gang,
Hoping someone can help. I've seen many posts about tapping into the mirror with pics, diagrams, etc. However, I haven't yet found one like mine. I just tried to install the very flimsy and highly overpriced mirror tap for use with my BlendMount and Uniden R3. However, as I was sent the wrong kit, none of the pins would fit well enough to determine which was the switched 12v. Any help would be much appreciated. I'm about ready to say **** or some other bad word...

Thanks! I'm actually going to send the Blendmount back. Not digging it at all. Going to stick with the windshield mount and find a more secure way to tap into power. I appreciate your help.

That's exactly where I'm headed. Saw a pic somewhere here with just the tail of the cord peaking out at top of windshield. And frankly the $100 BM is about $75 over priced.

That's how I ran my cam wires, into the headliner down the A pillar to the powerpoint behind the lower dash door, plug it in when I take off, other cable runs to the rear facing cam and runs under the headliner all the way back. I looped it so when I use the slider it don't bind up. Front camera powers the rear.
Didn't feel like cutting the plug.
