I did see a test few weeks back on the Ram and it was pretty week test, the only thing I did like was the 2" remote lift it has, but i think you can get that from Rancho........

just had to put my 2 cents in hahahaha

I'll Stick to my New 2012 F150 5.0
36mp"imperial"gallon as Canada doesnt use the U.S. gallon, thats why everything in Canada has crazy high mpg.

Just wanted to clarify that. The Rams do not have a model with rear hinged doors like our SuperCab, so people often assume is supposed to be the Crew version when they see the four forward hinged doors.
This is the big crew cab that dodge makes... Not the mega cab but way bigger than the old tiny crew cab.... The Ford has at least a half a foot more room in the back... I compared them side by side.

Looked like this:

You said quad cab in your post. They look remarkably similar on the outside. One has a short bed and larger cab. The other a larger bed and shorter cab.

I have not measured. them. But I thought the crew cab dodge was bigger inside. Even if it's not I seriously doubt it's 6-8 inches of difference. That's the difference between a SuperCab and a SuperCrew.

I just like accurate information to be on the internet.

Let's look, shall we? Manufacturers Specs. Give me a minute to pull them up from the websites.

Difference between a SuperCab and SuperCrew is 1 foot, hence the 12" difference in wheelbase between a 145" SCab 6.5' bed and 157" SCrew 6.5' bed. Not sure on the Dodges, never paid much attention to them.

Ram 1500 Crew Cab
Head Room Front / Rear - 41.0" / 39.9"
Hip Room Front / Rear - 63.2" / 63.2"
Leg Room Front / Rear - 41.0" / 40.3"
Shoulder Room Front / Rear - 66.0" / 65.7"
Passenger Interior Volume - 125.3 Cubic Feet

Ford F150 SuperCrew
Head Room Front / Rear - 41.0" / 40.3"
Hip Room Front / Rear - 60.5" / 64.6"
Leg Room Front / Rear - 41.4" / 43.5"
Shoulder Room Front / Rear - 65.9" / 65.5"
Passenger Interior Volume - Could not find this datapoint. Anyone know?

Looks like the F150 has more rear leg room than the Ram, by about 3".

Edit: Fixed my math mistake leading me to an erroneous conclusion.

By the way, you posted a picture of a Crew Cab. See the shortened bed.

This is a Quad cab. See the difference? Not much of one.
They are the same wheelbase.

Looks like the F150 has less rear leg room than the Ram, by about 3". More headroom though by about 0.4"

By that it looks like your friend has the equivalent of a SuperCab.

Put down the bong brosky!

Dodge Legroom rear = 40.3"
Ford Legroom rear = 43.5"

I'm pretty sure the Ford had more room in the front with the seat all the way back too... Did not measure or anything... Seat of the pants feel

I think you mixed yourself up. The F150 has better leg and and head room and the Ram has better hip and shoulder room. Basically the Ram is wider and the F150 is longer. I'll take longer since I'm tall...

I also wonder if they take into account that the middle passenger in the back seat of an F150 has more room because of the flat floor?

If it was a quad quad I wouldn't have been able to get in the back without hitting my knees on the seat ... let alone with the driver moved all the way back

It was a fair test and comparison

Doh! Did the math backwards. My bad.
