Default Blower Fan Noise

I have a 2010 F150 Lariat 4x4 with Supercrew cab. Love the truck but it makes an annoying noise when the fan is turned towards the high end range. I understand there is no cabin air filter but am wondering how and where to locate the blower fan motor. It sound like something is obstructing the air flow or the bearing are shot in the blower motor? Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Mne has a definitely noticeable high pitched whine/whistle when it's on high.... Is this what you're hearing?? I have 38k on the truck and the noise has just shown up.....

Do modern Fords use commutator brush thingies like HVAC fans did in the old days? Those used to wear at common fan RPMs and start making noise but were silent at any slower or faster fan speeds.

keep in mind i have terrible ears when i say this. i had this problem with my blower making a high pitch whine while in the high end range. sounded like a window was open. it was so annoying i was about to take it in when i realized it was one of the vents in the back seat not all the way closed. it was just a hair open when i closed the sound was gone. would have been an embarrassing trip to the dealer.

Check to make sure that all of the vents are fully open. My passenger side vent near the door whistles like crazy, on high, when not fully open.

Yes to the vents, if you need to get to motor, it is behind the glove box. No string just push in the 2 tabs holding it up and it will swing down out of the way. You will feel them, they are the ones with the rubber stops.

I have had leafs and other debris get stuck in my Jeep and on high would make a crazy noise while the fan hacks away at the stuck leaf.
