Rancho is saying their kit will not work with my truck because mine has AWD.

Anyone know why this would be? Something about vibrations. Does the front drive shaft rotate all the time even when it isn't in AWD mode.

That's odd, there's a black FX4 Supercrew 5.5 bed on here that has the Rancho 4 inch kit.

Edit: Heres the link: https://www.f150forum.com/f38/finall...lifted-275330/

Just an FYI, rcx kit has a lifetime warranty on parts now too. I asked a local off road shop and he said they are all made really well these days and he also recommended the rcx kit.

Default 2013 Platinum 4x4 - 4" Lift Kit

I'm a little confused here. I've looked at the RCX 4" lift, but their website says it will not work with stock wheels. I'm not running stock wheels, but mine are 18x8.5 with 5.5" of back spacing. Are those of you that show the pics running stock wheels running 18" or 20" wheels?

They are 20s. Seems like the stock 20" fit most lifts and the stock 18" don't.

Mine are 18s. 4x4 shop confirmed before install that they would work.

Why does wheel size impact the lift? You would think tire size would be the issue. Can someone enlighten me please?

My only guess is that its offset related. Otherwise I've got no idea.

The wheel can contact the new lift knuckle in a number of different areas. Usually a lift requires a certain back spacing on a rim, but the diameter also plays a role.

It can be corrected with some wheel spacers if you wanna keep oem wheels like I do

Anyone know if AWD will cause a vibration problem with the Rough Country 4" kit? Does the front drive shaft spin all the time? Even when in 2WD? I never use AWD, only 2H, 4H and 4L.
