I don't know what fuse but just carefully remove the positive cable from the battery for about 5 minutes.

I watched my dealer do this Friday and it corrected my crazy GPS.

NOW be aware of the TSB 12-11-01 which includes an update to the system and a new Nav A4 SD card.

I have attached the TSB for you.

Thats what i had to do on our 2012 Explorer.
Always kept a wrench in the glove box incase I needed to pull the positive wire.
Once pulled the MFT would come back up and show a Microsoft logo and say something about performing system maintenance. Just let it run for a min or so and the system would work fine again.

Ford sent me a thumb drive in the mail with the latest firmware update this past summer for our explorer. Haven't had an issue with it since.
Hopefully they get whatever bugs figured out with the newer MFT in the trucks.

A few years ago (2007ish), Ford was near the top of the list in customer satisfaction, service and reliability reports. It was even beating out the likes of some of the Japanese makers.

Apparently they have fallen off a cliff now.

As of now the only company WORSE than Ford is Jaguar, and Jaguar shouldn't count because it's been at the bottom for decades. It's normal for them

Customer satisfaction, reliability ans service are all in the crapper now at Ford.

The two most complained about things?

1. My Ford Touch
2. The EcoBoost

So, the two most common items they are pushing the hardest to customers are the two items killing them in the ratings.

Add in dealers that won't do **** for their customers any more, and here we are.

It's becoming clear why Ford didn't take any Government Money. Apparently they cut to the bone so severely internally, they forgot how to build vehicles. And don't care to fix them when there is an issue.
I see what you are saying, but as far as Half-Ton's Ford's blow everything else out of the water as I factored Toyo, Chevy, Dodge into my Half Ton purchase. The trucks just have way more features and are better than everything else out there.

The customer service part of it comes down to your dealer, I think dealers are a 75% miss and 25% decent customer service. Luckily for me I have an amazing dealer that does backflips for me, but small issues like this I know are not the dealers problem. If I had a window that squeaked or something like that, I would rely on my dealer to fix it.

It's #2 on the 2011.

If you are bigger than Gary Coleman, good luck getting to it.

Don't disagree, but dealer performance, along with the handcuffs ford puts on them, hurts the reputation.

Good news. When I was leaving work. "My Ford Stuck" must have rebooted on it's own. My saleman and their onsite Sync Specialist are aware and hace offered to help. When it is working, it is awesome. Again, 99% of the time it is ok. I still think they need a way to do a Control-Alt-Delete. That would resolve probably 50-75% of the issues. Again, it is a Microsoft "PC".

Agreed, another thing I noticed is that the SyncApplink is nowhere to be found on my MFT. Another feature I'm MISSING from my NEWER truck.

I have the same issues in our 2013 explorer. Enough to make me not even want a 13 150 or 250, and we want to sell an explorer with 4000km on it and find a used 2012 150. It's that pathetic. The day we got it, it froze solid. Since then it keeps doing it periodically. I can't stand not having elevation on long trips, why take it away- really? My biggest issue is the lousy detail on the map out of the city. I solely use my gps to see when my road is coming up and night or in the fog, MFT shows less detail all while being zoomed in more than sync. We have a grid system on our roads, it doesn't display the names of them like sync does. Sync shows about 2 miles up and down and 3 miles side to side, MFT is 1.5 and. 2.5 maybe. Sync will show "range road 145" on the road up ahead of me while MFT will show "range ro" in the far right. Like it is cutting off, that takes away 90% of my usage right there.
