Retail on the Limited is $52,455. Of course that's for a Tuxedo Black model, since the Ruby Red Metallic and White Platinum Tri-Coat are more expensive colors. I imagine Destination & Deliver would be the same for both the Limited and the Platinum at $995. I don't know what starting retail for a Platinum is. Someone who's ordered a '13 Platinum and has the build sheet could answer that, though.

I thought it was pretty funny.

The funniest part is that he is dead on accurate.

Without looking, I think the retail on a Platinum 2012 is $44,xxx. Of course, that's with pretty much no options. Once you configure it like a Limited, it'll likely be very close or more than $52k MSRP.

I went Platinum over Limited because the larger rims on the Limited lowered the tow rating.

I noticed this as well. I run 23" wheels now, but my camper is 6,000lbs max fully loaded, including carrying a generator and fuel.

A plan for a loaded out 13 platinum with ruby red, all the bells and whistles, sunroof, spray liner, side steps, tail step, 6.5' Eco, max 4x4 screw was right at 49 k.. If I recall that was right at 2 k below invoice sticker was right at 56k

It makes perfect sense...bigger tires and wheels with a lower profile have much less (if any) true snow tire selection, and perform worse in deep snow. Just because you made it through winter with yours doesn't mean it's the right wheels for the job.

My point was there is a very limited selection of snow rated tires available in a 22" wheel. The few that are available are not cheap or highly rated. I'll be putting Michelin LTX A/T2 on my Platinum before the snow flies available in 20" not 22".

Have you checked? There's good snow tires available in 20s, don't see why they wouldn't offer any in 22s! I have Cooper discover m/s tires on my 20s and they are awesome, they even make blizacks for 20s

Are you sure about that? I thought I read that it's not the wheels or tires for that matter, but the lower sport suspension on the Limited and Harley's. This supposedly reduced the payload rating too.
