2013 Limited and Platinum Differences?

After Ford put out the press release that the Limited would offer some exclusive feature that isn't offered in any other F-150.
"The F-150 Limited signifies the highest levels of design refinement, luxury and technology that we've ever offered in a Built Ford Tough pickup truck."
At least the "lower" trim offer more choices.

22" wheels? Ghettofabulous...
I think 20" wheels are bad enough. The larger diameter rims are not good for offroading, but then again for mall crawlers, it doesn' really matter much I suppose.

I did a side-by-side comparison of the features offered on both the Limited and Platinum in Excel using the 2013 Order Guide as a reference for features. They are pretty much the same truck with different styling. If you like one look over the other, take your pick. Some different exterior styling, such as the wheels and painted vs brushed parts. Different interior colors. Different suspension (the Limited has "sport tuned" suspension). Platinum has more options for exterior color, interior color, bed length, and engines. I can't remember what other differences there are, because the spreadsheet comparison is on my other computer at work. From what I saw, you can setup a King Ranch the same way. For the most part, you can even do the same thing with an FX4 or a Raptor (of course the Raptor gets a few extra off-road goodies). Once you spec them out the same way, the prices are all very close. Just pick the look/style you want and spec it the way you want (except the Limited holds you to only certain features).
When I was looking to get a new truck, I was going to spec one out with all the features the Limited has. For me, it was going to come down to which engine I wanted. I was really wanting the EcoBoost, as I do a lot of driving between South Carolina and Ohio every other weekend, so I wanted the fuel economy. I also wanted the torque from the EcoBoost, because, well, I really like torque. So since the Limited was offered in the color I wanted, engine I wanted, bed size I wanted, and I liked the look, I chose it over the Platinum. If the EcoBoost gives me the bad problems some people are experiencing, I'll trade it on a Platinum with a different engine, as I like the Platinum a lot too.
I guess I'm part of the "hip-hop wannabe crowd" and am "ghettofabulous" who wants a "mall crawler", because I really like the look of the Limited a lot (even though I'm a white guy that hates rap and R&B music and listens to rock and country, and I hate going to the mall).

I forgot about the King Ranch. The Platinum, King Ranch, and Platinum, can be configured equally with all bed length and engine options. At any rate, I wonder if the Limited will have a higher starting price than the Platinum.

Well, you can't get rain sensing wipers or power deployable running boards on a KR. Didn't know you couldn't get a 6.2L on the KR either, go figure. You do get those awesome color schemes on the interior of the KR.
