Front noise during U-turns

Front noise during U-turns
Just curious if anyone has had any clunking noises from doing U turns? For some reason, whenever I make hard left turns, it sounds like my shock/strut is rubbing against the front coil.

I'm not sure if we're having the same issue but I noticed my truck making a clunk while turning slowly for the first time last week. It did it again yesterday. I could hear it and feel it.
BTW my truck is a 2014.
Curious to see if anyone else has experienced this and if it is a known issue.

I experienced this with a 2014 limited we had in for service at the dealership. It was a brief "clank" when turning sharp. Not sure what the problem ended up being but it wasn't a sound that inspired confidence.

If you are turning the steering till it stops, there are physical "stops" the can rub when the suspension flexes. This rubbing can be very concerning and noisy.

I've heard it once on my truck and it was when I was at full lock and driving over an elevated driveway entrance. Now I just turn the steering to full lock and back it off a bit. Takes the strain off the components especially with a leveling kit.

FWIW: I installed a leveling kit on my 2014 FX4, and shortly after that I started to get that same "thing" when I'd go to full lock steering either way, and only when going slowly (usually when turning into my parking spot in the carport or parking at work). It was driving me crazy, and I searched for weeks trying to figure out what was rubbing on what - but never could find anything actually touching something else other than the little bump stops on the steering knuckle and LCA ... but those were NOT the source of the noise.
After not being able to find it, I got really frustrated ... so on a whim I got out the can of WD40 and sprayed the heck out of EVERYTHING under there on both sides of the front end ... all the strut connections, ball joint connections, tie rods, hinge points of the LCA and UCA ... and even sprayed all over the upper part of the strut spring where it presses against the rubber bushing in the top cap of the strut, as well as the inside of that area as best I could.
Low and behold, the noise went away. I can only assume that something had not completely "settled in" and it was most likely the strut/spring/spacer ... because it was ONLY when it was stressed out at full lock that the noise would happen.
So, long story short, I'd suggest trying the same thing. The WD40 will lube things well enough to let them settle in and hopefully the noise will stop.
IF that doesnt work ... check the bump-stops on the steering knuckle and LCA and make sure there are no burrs or rough spots that might be grinding on each other. If there are, try to file them down and put some grease on them to just help the friction there.
Of course, I'm assuming that you've checked every nut and bolt down there to make sure everything is torqued down to the right spec ... anything slightly loose might be only showing itself when you're at full lock and really stressing out the angles of everything down there.
Hope you get it worked out. I know how it can make you feel like your "new" truck is broken, which sucks.

Full lock and over a bump/dip perfectly describes when you will hear the steering stop noise. It won't hurt anything when it makes that noise, but you can smear a glob of grease on the stop to quiet it. Turn your wheel to full lock, and look under there to see where the stop makes contact.
