2013 king ranch
 

Thinking of trading my 2010 lariat in on one of these babies or possibly a platinum, my ford touch is awesome and the new hid headlights look sweet! going to wait till Dec or Jan after they've dumped the 12s and see if they get any better rebates.

I am curious.....which engine are you going to choose? And, would you do the same mods to the rest of the truck?

what im gonna do is wait and see what the 2014 are gonna look like then pick up a '13 at the end of summer next year that way you get hella rebates!

I have been in want of a KR for some time now. I think the 2013's come with black interior? When I build one, it gives me the option of black interior...:unsure:

Any color in mind. I am thinking Green gem. With the two tone, I think that would look beautiful.:)

BTW, I was in your neck of the woods a couple weeks ago. With the size of those animals I saw wandering around I can see the need for that bull bar you got on the front of your Lariat.

Same. If new model is not a big enough leap then I will eyeball a set of 2013 HIDS to try and convert on my '11. heh

As for OP I would wait to see what the new model offers before trading in your perfectly good F150 for a '13.

I wish they offered more color choices for the King Ranch. I likely would have gotten another one myself if they offered a Red one or the Dark Copper Metallic my 2005 has.

I do like the old style King Ranch Castaño leather better than the current Chaparral leather.

My dealer only had one on the lot, it was an eco two tone brown with tan interior, i'm going for either the 5.0 or possible 6.2 that way my bumper will be transferable, it won't work with eco because of the intercooler. My bed rails, bed cover, brake lights and most of my other mods will be transferable also but I will lose the chrome door pillars and rocker panels is about it I think. Originally I was thinking platinum but the king ranch was what he showed me when I asked about the 13s, I wanted to check out the headlights and my ford touch in person, but the king ranch is pretty sweet so I need to compare it to platinum more but I liked it. The rear seats are heated, not sure if they were from 11+ or if that's new, but it wasn't an option in 10. I'm going to stay with black in pretty sure. I'm kinda leaning for the 6.2, guys around here love the 5.0 but don't like the eco, found out the dealer gets all 3.73 ecos which might be why they are getting bad mileage, said they were gonna start ordering 3.31 and 3.55s for eco now though. But I've been hearing decent numbers from the 6.2, i'm happy with my 5.4 so I wouldn't mind a little more power for not much mileage loss I think, not 100% decided yet though, either choice would bee good I think.

I was contemplating waiting for the end of 2014 to see the new redesign of the 2015MY but after seeing the my ford touch and the hids i'm not sure if I can edit that long, I shouldn't have went to look, haha! But then again if I get the 13 I can get the 16 and give them a year to work the kinks out of the new one :thumbsup:

Salesman told me they changed the leather to the same as the test now cause the old stuff scratched and faded to easy. It looked/felt similar to my 10 lariat leather but there were patches up by the headrests that looked more real leather like.

Oh, and the front headrests had adjustable tilt angle and the back ones folded down, presumably for better view.
