There are 2-3 online Ford dealers that discount heavily.
I bought mine through Flood Ford. There is also Ziegler Ford.
Search online ESP or Ford Protect as it is now called and you can get some quotes.
Mine was $900. off what the dealer quoted for the exact same thing.

^^^ Just as FYI, I bought my ESP from Ziegler in July 2015 (a full year after taking delivery of my new truck). Since mine was then and always will be low annual mileage driven, the plan I chose factored coverage over time vs total mileage. The specific plan was Ford's PC860D5 which is total of 8 yrs or 60k miles with $50 deductible. Obviously, not sufficient mileage coverage for most folks but my truck had 3.5k miles at time ESP contract was issued and now has only 7.5k miles. With 4.5 yrs remaining of ESP - seriously doubting I'll exceed 60k miles. BTW, total plan cost was $930...

If the rear window is your only worry, glass coverage from your insurance company will cost far less.

Yesterday, I hit black ice on the highway 1,000 miles from home in between provinces. I slid across 3 lanes of traffic and all I did was take my foot off the accelerator and the truck corrected itself. I couldn't believe I walked away from that. Had I been in an older truck without this system, I probably would not be sitting here typing this message. There is no comparison between new and old, IMO.

I'd put that more on Advance Trac than EPAS. And the fact that you know to get off the accelerator. Had that happen to me on a curve on a 70mph road once, along with about 6 other cars. We all skidded around, nobody went off the road or hit each other. Could not believe our success, must not have been any 'imports' to the north in that group.

^^^ Rather than replacing your perfectly suitable low mileage F150, consider doing what I do - buy yourself another new toy! I see nothing in 2015+ series that would come close to tempting me to sell/trade mine at just 7.5k total miles...

Hate to say it but I have wrestled with your question as well. My truck used to sit and had very low miles for years but last year my daughter got her drivers license and inherited my wife's car and my wife took my truck and I ended up back in my 96 powerstroke. This week I will be buying a car for my wife just to get her out of my truck. It still has relatively low miles for a 13, 45k. I was going to look at the 3.0 ecodiesel, I would not mind getting 30mpg. In the end I do like my truck and feel better about having a galvanized sheet metal truck over an aluminum body. If anything I may run and ad with a price I would sell it for knowing I don't have to sell it. Also the extended warranty info on this thread was helpful. My warranty expires in May in will extend it. My vote, Keep it.
