Default 2013 Headlight Retrofit to 09-12, Anyone?

Anyone retrofit the 2013 lights to the earlier models? Seems like a mod worth doing

How big of an improvement over the stock halogens did you see? I'd like to do the same as you for my FX4. I like the look of the OEM 2013 HID's but it sounds like a retrofit saves some money and gives even better performance. If the 2013 OEM job is good enough I'd probably go that route.

What type bulb do they use? An H1? Can you use an aftermarket hid kit in those housings?

Theyre 5 times better and brighter than the crappy halogens, and no offense to anyone with the retros, but they look cheap IMO! When lit up these things light up all four lanes of the highway, and go across the grass to the opposite side of the highway, they're some of the best Hid's I've had out of my last three trucks and suv's... Don't hesitate pick up a pair, Also I dont remember the bulb number, but you'll have Hid low and high beam, very nice...

I've got the beams... just waiting for my harness from Joseph/Tux. This may be my last good weekend until Spring!

Serves me right... I replaced the chrome headlights with FX black ones. Now I'm replacing the FX black ones with the black HIDs. I collect F150 headlights... apparently. Also got my HIDs from 816Godschild/Alfred via eBay. Great to do business with.
