Dead Pedal Fit for "Standard" F150
.....The darn Raptors are pretty special...but the dead pedal, parking brake pedal, gas and brake pedals do fit our "lowly" non-SVT F-Trucks.
Did a quick test fit last night....after madly tearing open the box.....
Dead Pedal bracket (silver aluminum part) mounts to existing bolt coming through firewall...and with three self-tapping screws that go into floor. Instructions show how to trim stock FX4 rubber floor mats.
Parking brake pedal bolts on to existing holes behind rubber cover.
Brake and Gas pedals require drilling into existing pedals.

Last of the "gloss" is off
Did the swap out of the FX4 Appearance Package gloss black grille insert in favor of the non-FX4 Appearance Package/STX textured black grille insert.
Now....all plastic on the exterior of the truck is textured black.....
Doing the grille insert swap requires removing the entire grille surround and undoing a myriad of clips, tabs, screws and bolts to get the insert to come out.
Getting the grille surround off is the hardest part.....as it has a number of tabs at the top with metal clips that push into holes in the front edge of the hood. It's very easy to break off a tab or two in the process.....but it doesn't matter...as there are several bolts and screws that really serve to hold the grille surround in place.
I...well....my friend, Jim and I....learned about breaking off some tabs when we took his grille surround off to mount a bug deflector on his truck.
I was lucky and did not break off any grille surround tabs on this install.
Um...I DID, however, break off the soft plastic mounting posts on the back of the Ford blue oval emblem when removing it.... Looking closely, the posts go through a hole with a small cutout that grabs the post. It didn't take much to snap them off. But.....hey...now I've got a Big Blue Oval for the desk at work....
Just be patient if you try this.
