Yes...I know.....spray-painting or plasti-dipping is cheaper.

I chose this solution as it will look good AND last the life of the truck.

I can understand that, just no place locally that does PC, lots of places in St Louis but they want things left for a day or two and it's 90 miles one way.

Default DamnDirtyApe: PC and Mud Flaps

We're lucky here in Los Angeles....lots of automotive, motorcycle, aircraft machine shops, powdercoaters, welders, etc.....

Could always UPS the parts to the PC.....certainly would save on gas and time.

By the way...you asked about my Ford mudflaps.....a couple pictures attached.

Left side is square....right side is a little crooked....and has a gap on the outside. Pretty sure this is "Installer Error" (meaning "Me"). I think a bit of adjustment will cure it.

Might have been too many adult beverages in my buddies driveway as we worked on his truck and mine.

Thanks for the pics. I called 2 PC places in St Louis -- $100!! They said most work is in the sandblasting.

What did you do to your exhaust tubing ? Looks black?

edited for ya. I'm wondering the same thing on that exhaust? It's much more complete in black compared to how unfinished it is from the factory.

Also I would like to see the grille on that thing... Will you take a pic from the front left corner sitting down low? That looks waaaayyy better with the stripe not on the side. Very nice pickup you have there sir.

Default Silver Galvanized Exhaust Tubing.....

....was sprayed with high-temp black exhaust paint......from the local auto parts store.

Also sprayed the bright silver strap on the fuel tank just ahead of the left rear wheel.

509-Ford: You asked to see the grille......Attached are some pics I had readily available.....don't have the angle you're looking for. Included the intercooler grille, too.

Looking good. I like the appearance package painted grill better than the normal '13 FX4 grille on white. I stopped ordering the 2013 FX4's in white simply because the FX4 grill looks too plain almost like a XL grille. It looks sharp on Black and sterling gray but just stands out too much on white. I still think I prefer the 2012 grille. Yours without the stripe sets it apart from the other 2013's with the appearance package but you still have the cool interior. Your tires made a huge improvement as well. The stock tires on the factory wheels just don't look right.

Once again very good taste and nice pickup.

Removed lower front valence. Had to come off to install the Intercooler Guard....so we left it off.....

Have you seen any mpg difference or any negative effects from leaving the nose spoiler off? I'm seriously contemplating doing this but don't want to to it at the expense of more wind resistance. I am also leveled of that makes a difference. Thanks!

Default Lower Spoiler Removal....

...haven't had it off long enough to tell if there's any MPG difference....also did the level....added the heavier tires.....so it may be hard to pick out what affected what with all the changes happening at once.....

Oh...most important....the truck "looks" cooler IMHO.....so that's gotta be worth something.....

Yes I definitely agree it looks MUCH better when the front end is more than a few inches off the ground! I may take it off and just see what happens/if there is anything noticeable. Not like we get the best mpg already anyways with the heavier tires and level

Northlight, do you still have your stock running boards? If so are you interested in selling them... I'm also in the LA area, no shipping...
