Default 2013 FX4 w/Nav - Backup cam stays on?

How long should the backup cam stay on after you shift out of reverse? Mine stays on for a while. I haven't timed it, or seen if it's a distance driven thing, but it stays on for probably 30 seconds after I shift from reverse to drive.

It can be adjusted in the settings if I remember correctly.

There's a delay setting but I like it

I can inch up in the garage until it can close the door. My Superduties never did it. I like it.

like said, it can be adjusted in the settings. I have had it both ways, after all i prefer the delay. like when you're doing a 3-point turn, the display stays on while you switch from R to D and "coast" back for a foot or so.
or if you run over Grandma you can make sure she doesnt get up while you drive away...

Rear camera delay
If equipped with rearview mirror display and optional instrument cluster: After shifting out of R (Reverse) and into any gear, the image will remain until vehicle speed reaches 5 mph (8 km/h). This will only occur if the rear camera delay feature is ON. The default setting for the rear camera delay is ON. To turn this feature on or off, select the following from the message center in the instrument cluster:
1. Settings
2. Driver Assist
3. Rear View Camera 4. Camera Delay

The camera delay options are ON and OFF. If the vehicle is equipped with a rearview mirror display and the standard instrument cluster, the camera delay will always remain on. There is no option to turn the camera delay off.
If equipped with the touchscreen display: After shifting out of R (Reverse) and into any gear other than P (Park), the image will remain until the vehicle speed reaches five mph (8 km/h). This will only occur if the rear camera delay feature is on, or until any radio button is selected.
The default setting for the rear camera delay is ON. Use the Settings function on the touchscreen display to set the rear camera delay on or off.

Mine stays on until I drive forward above 5mph I think. If you press the radio button it turns it off too.

You can make adjustment.

I however have a different issue with the reverse camera and would like some feedback.

I set my reverse camera to have those yellow guidelines. After a few days they disappear and go back to no lines just the camera image. WTF is this all about? If I set it that way why does it change it back? Thoughts?

Either you connected a trailer or your truck was built before 09/2011. In which case you can have the camera replaced.
