2013 FX4 or 2012 Harley Davidson?
I don't know what to do. I want a new FX4, white, 6.2, but the dealer i argue with, doesn't really like to order me one since they try to get rid of their 2012. They would love to get me into one of their inventory cars, but either it has not the options i want, or way too much stuff i don't need.
The price i would get on a new 2013 FX4 is basically MSRP, now they came up with the idea i can get a 2012 Harley for invoice.
Now is my question to you much more experienced truck buyers (this is my first new car buy after i moved to the States from Germany)
Is it a good option or should i stick with my FX4? And if the 2012 is an option, how much should i pay for it, considering it sits for 6 month on their lot and obviously they like to sell it before ordering a new one?
Any help is much appreciated.

Id tell the dealer to go F himself if he doesnt want to order you one, thats bad buisness.
But...if you want to stay with him, Id keep hounding him on the new truck and you can get it cheaper than MSRP Im sure.
My opinion....the Harley is pretty much an FX4 with some different rims and Harley written down the side and emblems...which you can go and buy and put on yourself, prob cheaper than you could buy an actual Harley truck. Other than that, from what Ive seen, not to much difference.
*edit* Sorry, forgot about the fancy dancy leather seats on the inside with Harley logos...

Thanks for your input. i'm not a fan of the dealer behavior either, on the other side i like to have a good relationship with one dealer before i jump between 3 different parties and waste my time and theirs.
The Harley Truck is really nice too, but its black and has so many options i don't need and of course don't like to pay for.
The fancy leather HD interior is also the reason i want the FX4, i rather have cloth and not too many electronics on board.
The wheels i would change as soon i drive it of the lot, i know how much 22" tires cost to replace and smaller rims look better on a tuck imo.
I think i go with the FX4 unless i get a deal i can not pass and spend the money on wheels and suspension.

Go see if you can find a new 2012 FX4 at another dealer or see if they will order you a 2013. Why you want to have a good relationship with a difficult dealer is beyond me. You are the customer, they NEED you, you do not need them. There are many more Ford dealers with the exact same trucks. You are not wasting anyone's time if you find the right truck for the right price. Its not your fault the other dealers you went to didn't have or weren't willing to give you what you wanted.
If you want an FX4, buy an FX4.

That's not even a good deal on the 2012. I bought a 2012 FX2 a month ago for way under invoice.
There should be approx $5000 rebates on 2012, so if you get that off the invoice, then you're doing better.
If you can get the Harley for around $41-42000 I'd do that, depending on the color of course.

Those two trucks are quite different. They styling is different, and even the suspension is different. The FX4 is more of an on/off road truck, while the Harley is more of a street truck. If I were you, since you're the one spending the money, get the truck that YOU want, rather than the truck the dealer wants to get rid of. I also think that after the dealer treating you that way, you should go visit the next closest dealer to see if they will treat you as you deserve, rather than just a person they can pawn off a truck on so they can get something different on their lot. Spend YOUR money the way YOU want. Get yourself that FX4 you desire.

Thanks to all of you for your input. Yea, i don't know what the matter is with these guys not ordering me the car i want. I dont mind to negotiate, but everthing has his limits.
I thought about it and i will go for the FX4, if they not ordering it, someone else will.
@Flea, waht is the difference between the two suspensions?
