Default 2013 Front Fender Coverage

Good day gents,

I just noticed the front fender inside coverage isn't very well designed, there is quite a bit of opening inside the front bumper to wheel section completely open to dirt.

Is there a reason Ford left that area open? driving in Canadian winter ain't helping either, my driver side fog lamp even got some water into the lens, needless to say the dirt is all over my inside bumper....

Not sure if Ford sells anything to cover that area? or this have to be a DIY project?

Oh yeah, I've noticed it. I have seen a thread where a member bought a cheap bendable mud flap, fashioned it to coved the area, and mounted it over the hole. Looked pretty good, and took care of the problem.

Hard to say. It probably saved them a buck or two is my guess.

Yeah, agreed. I scraped out about half a bucket of mud from inside my bumper the other day. I can't believe Ford didnt cover the wheel well better than this. Do they sell some kind of liner for the front?

LOL, it kills me everytime when I spray the truck off, that area is a real pain to spray off. Doesn't look like there is a factory fix, might have to search some soft plastic to custom fit it in....
