I've got a 2012 XLT Supercab with 32,000KMS (about 20,000 Miles). The brakes started to pulsate, so l took it into the dealer where l bought the truck from. They turned the rotors under warranty.

Took my truck in at 3,000 because of Nav Sys. They did their multipoint check regardless of mileage which includes of course brake pad check. A week later warped rotors. I ask them to replace them and all they would do is turn them. Now their warped again, which was my argument in the first place. Now I have 30K. Wonder what they'll say now? "Wear
Parts" probably.

What a pain.

Just throwing this out there again guys. Pad material transfer, mimics or is commonly miss diagnosed as warped rotors. Food for thought.

Mine were pulsating at 21000 miles, they were changed not turned under warranty. They did not change the pads mating old pads to new rotors, I asked if that was a good idea, they said if it causes a problem to bring it back, it's covered. I guess we'll see..

I had my brake pads & rotors replaced twice in the first 60,000 miles - the pitfalls of pulling 11,000# with a 5800# truck I guess. The first time I had the rotors turned, the second time they found a small crack in one of them so I put on new rotors.

What kind of pads and rotors are you all upgrading to?
