2013 fog lights with OEM HIDs
#31
Hate to resurrect an old thread, but trying to figure out the foglight upgrade.
Trying to match the HID projectors in my 2013 FX4
Do I just need 9145 bulbs (6000k or 5000k) or do I need the kits with the harness and ballast, etc??

I'm running 3000K HIDs in my fogs and they almost over power the factory HIDs.
The reason NO auto maker ever put "white" HIDs in fogs is cause white light reflects off moisture, snow, rain and fog which actually glares back at the driver.
Yellow light(halogen/3000k HIDs) actually cuts through the moisture, snow, rain and fog. It explains why most of the lemans, rally and desert racecars run yellow headlights.
I have been in some thick fog and I could actually see better turning my headlights off and running only my fogs.
