2013 F150 Reverse lights work sometimes
I just installed the VLEDS LED license plate frame to provide more illumination while in reverse in my 2013 Ford F150. Everything works great when the key is in accessory mode, transmission in reverse and the engine not running. Problem is when the engine is running and the truck is in reverse, none of the reverse marker lights or the new frame light up. I used the supplied line taps to connect the LED unit to the reverse light supply wires in the drivers side tail light assembly. Does anyone know what is wrong and how I can fix it?
Thanks!

Check your grounds?
Start the vehicle and put it in reverse with the park brake full depressed (Or have someone riding the brakes) and take a test light to your splice. If power's there, work down towards the light frame. If there's power the entire way, it's a grounding issue.

It seems as though when the LED unit is connected, it trips a "circuit" but if I turn off the truck and turn it back on, the reverse light circuit works again as long as I have disconnected the LED. No physical fuse blows.
Could it be a defective unit? Normal reverse lights work fine until I connect the LED, then it "trips"
Thanks,
Dan
