2013 F150 FX4 Help: Wheels to Fit 35x12.5x17 Tires
Hey everyone!
I've got a '13 FX4, supercrew with the good ol' 5.0. It has a HellBentSteel 2" level, and I'm currently running 33" (305/55/20 IIRC) Nitto Terra Grapplers. No rub issues right now. I'm planning on going to 35 x 12.5 x 17 Trail Grapplers, and I'm wondering what wheels i can get away with using. I'd really like to just run Raptor take-offs, but I'm wondering if i'll have big rubbing issues.
So if anyone can help me out, that'd be awesome!

Best bet is to stick with something with a high offset, +20 or better assuming an 8.5" wheel. You will still have to trim some plastic but nothing major. Nittos run true to size and the trail grapplers have large lugs.
Both of my trucks have a 2" level I'm using for an example here.
Here is 35" Nitto Trails on raptor wheels. Required trimming to front air dam and slight trimming to the rear of the flare. I zip tied the wheel well liners just for extra peace of mind.
Same truck with 315/70/17 Falken Wildpeak AT3's on raptor wheels. It would have required similar trimming, except for the flare because it doesn't have the huge lugs.
My previous 14 with Method 17x8.5 with 0 offset w/35x12.50 Nitto Trails. This required all the same trimming plus I had to pull back the wheel well liners. Biggest difference is I had to take a hammer to the sheet metal behind the rear of the front flares to make room. Extra trimming of the flare was required.

Awesome! Thanks a lot. That definitely gives me peace of mind knowing that with Raptor take-offs I'm just trimming pieces, and not taking hammer to sheet metal like with the Methods. Now the hunt for wheels begins, 'cause that tax return should drop in this week! Thanks again!

Just an update, found a nice set of raptor take offs. 400$ seemed like a good price compared to everything else i found online, and they look great, so I bought them Sunday. I would have the new tires on already, but had to head out of town on a job install. Hoping to get them installed Thursday. Will post pics once i do.

I read thru the thread and wanted to confirm if you ever ran into issues/tire rub on your upper control arm? I'm running 5100's w/ Camburg upper control arms and just installed '18 Raptor wheels w/ the stock 315/70/17 BFG tires. Prior to full turn lock the tires rub on the UCA's. I know a wheel spacer can solve the problem but just curious to your set-up and experience. Thanks in advance.
