2013 f150 battery light on
I bought a 2013 f150 last Saturday. It had battery corrosion on the positive side of the battery and on the battery cable end. The dealer agreed to replace the battery and the cable end which they did. Every thing was fine until today when the battery light came on. It stayed on for a few min and then went off. I had the battery and alternator checked at the local parts store. They checked out good. WTF? Why a light if everything checks out good?

same thing.
My Gen. light has been going on & off for the past 2 yrs.. The dealer said that everything is working fine,no problem with alt. or battery. I haven't had any problems, just don't like the light coming on & off all the time. they don't know what or how to fix it(wtf). keep an eye on your Gen. gauge needle,as long as it stays above the middle, you will be fine. If they find a problem & fix it other than the alt. or battery, please let me know. thanks john

On my 2011, I had corrosion on the + term too. I repaired and cleaned it, but the cause is the battery leaking acid. Battery needs to be replaced.
Look at the terminal and see if it has actually been replaced. It is not a trivial thing. There is at least one crimp for the starter wire. The alt and power steering fuses are on a connector that bolts onto the terminal. Be sure that bolt is tight.

I would defiantly tighten up the terminal..

Clearly the terminal is loose. One option would be to go back to the dealer and show them - clearly the mechanic didn't finish the job when he replaced the battery and the terminal.
