Where is the pressure switch located?
I’ve got a 2013 xlt with the 5.0
my AC isn’t blowing as cold
clutch engages and stops then engages and stops
radiator fan comes on and it never did before.
i want to change my pressure sensor / switch but.... I CANT FIND IT!! Or the accumulater ???

No more accumulator the truck uses a TXV and the pressure sensor could be in a refrigerant line or at the condenser. Also the fans are always commanded on when the A/C is in operation, usually at low speed. The A/C is controlled by the computer.

I had the same problem last year. Released some dead pressure from the low pressure side and voila, fans stopped.
i later recharged the system and the AC finally worked properly.
In my research I didn’t find much info. Plugged/ unplugged switch. Checked fuses and replaced relays. Saw one vague reference to trapped pressure so I relieved the trapped pressure on a chance and the issue went away. Just a hiss of air for a few seconds.

7 Months of hell - problem Solved
For the past 7 months I have lived with an ever annoying loud fan problem with my F150. By shear coincidence (I think) my issue started almost to the day I changed my water pump and T-stat. After running the truck for about 5 minutes my cooling fans would go into take off speed and the truck sounded like a jet engine on afterburner. I did everything from changed the T-stat a second time, questioned and inspected the new water pump for damage to the impeller, replaced the AC pressure switch, vacuum lifted the air from the system, pressure tested the radiator, flushed the system, changed fuses and relays and evacuating and refilling the AC system. All this cost me time and ridiculous money to say the least, let alone the amount of odd facial expressions I received from anyone within hearing distance which in my case seemed like miles away.
The fix: a great shop finally put a set of gauges on my refrigerant system and found that my pressures where through the roof on the high side line. The root cause was determined to be a faulty AC expansion valve at the firewall. Once diagnosed and replaced the truck is once again my pride and joy and not something I dreaded getting in and being not seen but heard driving.
Not sure if this will fix your truck(s) or not but worth looking into.

Thanks for the info I’m dealing with the same issue started my truck on afternoon and the fan was blowing 100% for no reason took it to the dealership and I was told that my thermostat was stuck in the open position and as a result the fan was blowing high and it caused some leakage from the radiator hoses $1200.00 I paid the $150.00 for the diagnostic inspection and took my truck back when they brought it to me the fan was blowing normal it was about 30 degrees at the time but I didn’t wan to turn on the heat when I got 10 min away from my house I turn on the heat sure enough the fan started blowing at 100% I bought the thermostat today and installed it and it didn’t fix anything. I unplug the AC switch tomorrow and see what happens.

2012 5.0 . I resolved my radiator fan issue finally. I had a bad thermostat or the wrong thermostat in my truck. I recently replaced the water pump and replaced the thermostat at the same time. I'm pretty sure that the thermostat I installed was either wrong temp or damaged out of the box. I installed a new 170 degree thermostat, and now the fans don't stay on. There are many posts out there with trucks programmed with a tune and the need for 170 degree thermostats to get more power and to fix the fan problem. Any thoughts out there?
On both trucks....... fans would stay on high (screaming) after warming up......(above was grossly compounded if it was a much warmer day !!! )
It seems aftermarket stats "DO NOT WORK" .......My fix was to have garage reinstall OEM stats only !! Immediate fix !!
My guess would be tooo much or insufficent flow through the system !!!!!
Also just my opinion 170 degree stats are not bringing engine to designed operating temperatures !!

Same scenario for me, took it to Joe Myers Ford on 290 in Houston, HORRIBLE FOLKS IMO, they said all normal.
Took to a private shop, said nope not suppose to be that way.
Took to Autonation Ford in Katy and they said, nope thats not right but it will be 2 weeks before we can get to it.
Called a friend who works for another Ford auto group in a non sales or service position, and he had a GM call me, got right in and out.
