2013 F150 5.0 Cooling fans run continually ***SOLVED***
Resonantly bought a 2013 f150 5.0L, I like the truck but over the last few days the cooling fans (both hi and low) started to run continuously. They shut off when I turn the truck off and they don't always start up as soon as I start the truck, but I would say they are on 90% of the time. It is between -5 & 0*c in my area now now so I haven't been running the A/C and the truck is not running hot. I tried unplugging the pressure sensor on the A/C just to be sure but they still run on, I have both cooling fan relays removed right now so the fans don't run, but I want to get this fixed up. Thanks for the help

Coolant level is good.
The only codes i'm getting on FORScan is:
B10F1 - Key in Switch - Circuit Short To Ground or Open
U3003 - Electric Power Steering Voltage low 5.7v

I've tried A/C on, A/C off, Defrost on, Defrost off, same result. Start the truck up and the fan comes on within 30 seconds and continues to run till the truck is turned off. Both fans are running WFO
I am trying to find the PID for the cooling fan control on FORScan now

I'm thinking I'll just install a stand alone fan controller with A/C over ride, there a little over $100 so it would still be cheaper than taking it in to the dealer

Solved
So I went at the truck this morning. The system wasn't acting like a stuck relay because the fans wouldn't come on until the truck was running for about 30 seconds or so, something was calling for the fans to come on. After some research I found that the fans are suspose to come on when the A/C as well as the Defrost is on, and of course when the engine is running hot (which mine is not).
If I turned the climate control off and started the truck, the fans wouldn't come on but as soon as the heat or the A/C was activated the fans would be on 100% (as designed). When I then turned the climate control back to the off position, the fans continue to run at 100% until the truck ignition was turned off.
I then started the truck, turned the defrost on, fans at 100%, turned the defrost off, fans still at 100%, I then went under the hood and unplugged the A/C pressure switch, the fans stop, I plugged the connector back into the switch and the fans still stay off. (Truck running through all this testing)
I went back into the truck and turned the A/C on (fans at 100%) checked the A/C compressor and the clutch isn't engaged but the system is obviously calling for the compressor to run. I tested the A/C clutch fuse (good) checked then A/C clutch relay (good) checked for power at the clutch (14.3v) but the compressor doesn't turn. Faulty Clutch &/or compressor
I found that by leaving the A/C switch unplugged the system is tricked and it doesn't call for the A/C and fans to engage, I will leave it like this until I can get the Compressor repaired.
Hopefully this will help someone else that is having the same symptoms.

Can you move the clutch plate on the compressor with the engine off?
