Default 2013 Ecoboost Stalling

I have read all the issues related to the ecoboost stalling on people due to the CAC and how it will enter limp mode or shutter on acceleration. I am having a stall issue under different conditions. This has happened to my truck 3 times now. Early in the morning around 6am temps in the 50-65 range I back out of my driveway drive about 200 ft and the truck stalls. All the typical warning lights go on and the mileage meter blanks out. I put it in park and attempt to restart but get no cranking, just a start system failure warning. I throw my reader on and get no codes detected and no codes to clear. Later when I get home from work I am able to get the truck back in the driveway and everything seems fine. This has happened 3 consecutive days in a row and I had the truck towed to the dealership only to have them unable to find any problems and cannot replicate the problem. While at the dealer the only error they could find was a misfire in cylinder #6. They troubleshoot and find nothing. I get a call today telling me
They can't find anything and to come pick it up and see if it happens again.

Anyone else have this issue??

I've got a 5.0, so I'm just trolling a bit. But, if you had a misfire on #6 it looks like the dealer would replace the coil pack. I believe I would have a come to Jesus meeting with the service writer. Good luck.

Default Here is my WAG

Seeing how there is a no cranking, I would look for an electrical failure either hot or ground. Could be a loose wire or connection, a short or even a bad battery. Is the driveway on a slant or hill? Nothing is worse than a CND diagnosis, hope you find out what it is.

I have the same problem with our 2013 Eco boost f150. It started Sunday we stopped along the road to look for elk and it wouldn't start then 10 mins later it started. It had the starter system failure. Today we were on our way home and it would die and say put it in park, we were able to get it started in neutral, this happened 4 times and we got home. It hasn't started since. We have an appointment tomorrow, when I told her what's as going on and if they had a loaner, she said if we can't find the problem the loaner wouldn't be covered. So of course got me thinking this might be a flakey problem.

Has anyone else had the same problem and did rohn365 get your problem fixed?

Please let me know how that appointment goes, Kitty Chandler Carr. Also, what's the current mileage on your truck? I'll research this further.

Do you let your truck warm up and let the idle drop down to normal before you back out of your drive and hit the road?

I noticed this on my 11 way back, if I didn't let it warm up at least a minute i'd get to the stop sign at the end of the street and it would bog right down and almost stall.

Try and get the failure on film to show your dealer next time you go in

68,886 and it started after the daylight savings change I don't know if that has anything to do with it, I had to set the clock manually. It happens after the truck is warm and driven. We had the oil changed and tires rotated.

My husband looked at the battery terminals they do not look corrotated I think if it doesn't start this morning he will clean them. We really don't want to wind up paying for a tow truck and diagnostic if this isn't going to show on the computers. We do have the Ford ESP warranty 6 yr 100k plan.

Yesterday when it happened while we were driving we were going about 65 to 70 mph. It would start from the remote but when you put the key in it said system failure. My husband said he did t turn the key it started by itself. The gauges went blank and the built ford tough screen came on.

Thanks for clarifying, Kitty Chandler Carr. Were you able to make it to that appointment? Please let me know how it went; I'll be here to help however I can.
