Default 2013 Ecoboost Issues

Do the 2013 Ecoboost Engines still have issues? Meaning the Shudder and Turbo Lag? Has this been resolved by Ford?

Thanks

My 13 has shudder until warm. No other issues. Been in snow, rain, hot weather... No falling on its face ever. I'm a young guy and am always pushing it rather hard too.

Ford issued a TSB regarding the 2013 EB issues. It states something along the lines of:
"2013-02-04: it has come to Ford's attention that many forum posters are asking about the 2013 EB engine issues.
Ford is hereby advising all concerned owners to use the search function on the forum of their choice and review the countless threads dealing with the issue.
This TSB does not affect the existing warranty"

gotta run to a meeting now

HA HA! I did do a search. I should have worded it better. I'm asking if any late 2012 or early 2013 production date EcoBoosts have these problems.

Thanks

My 2013 hasn't had any problems, I've had it a little less than a week. Driving a lot of stop lights to work and then a little road trip yesterday and nothing. The turbo lag isn't a big deal cause it so small and then it drops off some where above 5500 and your wondering what the hell happened to your power since I was trying to hit the rev limiter in the manual mode. NO I"M NOT beating my truck, just seating the rings a little bit. So far I'm happy with the truck and motor and it was built sometime in the 3rd week of january.

For some reason some owners refuse to answer this simple question, and instead write things like "Mine is good!" even though they know multiple TSB's and an Intercooler re-design have been implemented. To answer your question OP, yes, the post Sept 18, 2012 Ecoboost built trucks have the latest intercooler design to resolve issues with the design of the 2011, 2012, and earlier built 2013 models. Its not hard people. If the OP asked, "How are people making out with their Ecoboost", then the answer "2000 miles, No issues, Love the truck" would be acceptable.

Mine's a pain in the butt to park. It cost's a couple bucks more to wash at the self serve car wash because of all that metal. I get mezmerized watching the LCD screen at the gas pump as the numbers keep climbing when I'm filling it. It shakes and shimmies when I drive over expansion joints on the highway. It has 420lb-ft of torque and I love seeing the look on the guys face driving his expensive european SUV. I get comments about how I must be a "redneck" because I drive a truck. When those twin turbo's spool up, it's like a slingshot. It's a truck and I love it.
