2013 ecoboost exhaust and leveling kit.
Hey, i just got my first truck, its a 2013 ford f150 XLT 3.5L V6 ecoboost, and I have heard that i should be careful what kind of exhaust i put on it. im wondering what the best exhaust I should get. also, im wondering if i should get a leveling kit on my truck, as it only has 18" rims on it, would that look like crap?

If you are looking for more power than an exhaust will do little to help you. If you simply want better sound then it will give you that.
Many add leveling blocks or coilovers to lift. Looks good with larger tires. Functionally the truck works better off-road on deeper tread 33’s or 35’s. Most don’t go with 37’s as it requires lots of cutting or a big lift and strains the drivetrain.

Stick with the 18", level it and get a good 35" tire! I doubt a muffler swap would do much harm to any engine, browse youtube and buy what sounds best to you. Some like flowmaster, magnaflow, etc....

i was told that many exhausts sound like garbage on the ecoboost's because its a smaller engine. right now i have 30's on the truck with 18" RSSW Rambler rims

I've got a '13 SCrew and am running the stock size tires (275/65 R18) KO2's on 9-inch wide Worx Wheels (+25). Have a 2.5" Rough Country Level on the front and stock on the rear. Am about 1/2" higher in the front than rear. No rubbing with the wider rims and absolutely no problems with the level which has been on the truck since about 12,000 miles. Just rolled over 114,000 earlier today.
Also recently added the Banks Monster Exhaust. Not much louder than stock, has a deeper tone but does not sound "Ricey". It does open up a bit on acceleration, but calms back off and is barely louder than stock in the cab while cruising. Not sure that I can tell any real power difference from the exhaust, but the engine temp seems to remain a little lower that before the exhaust. System is considerably lighter than the stock system and a cake install.
Picture is before exhaust and KO2s

I didn't install the Level myself. Since I knew it would need alignment after installation, I had a local shop that I knew had experience in installing the kit do the work. Got 65,000 miles out of the Goodyears after the level and am over 20,000 on the KO2's and it looks like they'll make 60,000 easy.
