Default 2013 Ecoboost Blow off

I have a 2013 f150 Ecoboost, I have read several forums about the VTA mod. I have seen many different ways done, from capping off the intake and blowoff valve, or adding a filter on the blow off valve, of leaving it open. what is the best way to do it.. it sounds awesome when you cap it at both ends but i want to make sure it is done right. I don't want to mess anything up down the road or cause any performance issues. if someone can help explain to me on how the blow off works and what is the best way to do it, that would be great. thanks guys!!!

Buy an aftermarket BOV to do it right.

Can't do that with the 2013 being an electric BOV

I feel really dumb asking this because I went to school to be an engineer (10 years ago) and usually research things on my own. Whats worse is I think I knew at one point. But what is the advantage is a turbosmart BOV? I understand it dumps pressure but what does that gain you in an everyday scenario?

BOV helps avoid boost spikes when the throttle valve closes, helps keep the turbo spooled, more efficient BOV = better on/off throttle turbo spool.

IMO, if you just want to hear the whosh sound when you get out of the throttle, just take the hose off between the BOV and the intake and cap the intake nipple, no need to put a filter on the BOV as it only exhales, but never cap the BOV
