*ugh - typo - yes, I know it's an ECO Boost....(sigh)
You inhaled some water that collected in the intercooler. No bid deal.

If you really think this will be an ongoing problem, then either drive faster or take a pen drill and drill a tiny hole in the bottom of your intercooler where turbo pressure will blow the water out all the time.

Could the solution for us really be this simple? To drill a 1/16" hole?
I've wondered about this but didn't want to sound like wwest(no affiliation)!!

No. The solution is NOT this simple. I had this problem happen to my EB on a warm summer day with not a cloud in the sky.

So if my EB was manufactured 10/3/12 am I good to go??

Seems same as 2011 was after the reflash except the 2011 was getting better mileage after the reflash. The 2013 does have only 500 miles on at this time and is improving a little mileage wise.
Anyway as far as general performance I don't see any difference between the trucks.

The pinhole idea worries me because sometimes there is vacuum, not boost. This unfiltered pinhole would allow that vacuum to suck dirt into the engine. Just my .02$

You could always plumb it with a small nipple and put a 1 way check valve on it. Oh wait, didn't Ford submit a patent for something similar to this?
