It just feels better. Ride, transmission, brakes, ect.

Just keep in mind that ALL of these Eco's have an issue with the Intercooler. The only reason everyone is not experiencing the issue is due to climate and driving habits.

If you took a "good" eco and gave it to someone who is having the bogging/shuddering issue, that eco would also exhibit those symptoms.

I myself will buy another Eco eventually because the power and feeling is not comparable on any 1/2 ton trucks on the market today. But I will be waiting for a permanent intercooler fix before that. As for the engine/turbos, seems like Ford actually got those things right and its unfortunate that the Intercooler is showing its ugly face on this hard work and engineering.

This is very interesting because from what we all though, transmission, brake etc is exactly the same as 2011-2012. I know they can apply new maps for transmission/engine. Maybe this is what makes the ride better.

If that's the case, we can all hope to get the same maps for our 2011-2012 F150.

You have no basis for these assumptions, if you have proof show it. ALL Ecoboosts do not have this problem, if they did Ford would have a hard time selling them.

How is the intercooler design between different Ecoboost models? Why is there a TSB addressing the design of the intercooler at this time? All of them are built the same, so there is an obvious design flaw, not quality issue with some and not others.

EDIT - Also, why do you think many people reporting the issue live in similar geographical locations, ie South Texas. I also know for a fact that my dealership was getting very similar complaints to mine, and this is a small city of 12,000 people. Hell, I was at the dealership a few weeks ago and heard a guy describing the pulsating shudder under load. Its environment related, as well as the type of driving someone does.

Trans might be the same but different pcm programming. I know for sure there are different brake components. We had a 2013 labeled with sticky notes to show all the changes. And I'll say there were alot of sticky notes.

Bought my EB exactly a year ago. I love the truck. Have asked my service department a couple times if they could check for any updates that may need to go into my truck, and they just look puzzled and dismiss it. Yesterday, I took it in for oil change, and asked them to check for updates, and was told those mechanics were swamped and couldnt do it....but my oil was changed in 30 minutes.....am I missing something?

And generally, people can't figure out why so many don't buy American cars. IT's not the cars, it's the terrible dealerships like the one you describe. As for my opinion, I'd find a different dealer and let the GM or Owner of that dealership know why I won't be back. Imagine, the service dept. too busy to do service?
