Good day guys,

I finally got my factory order FX4 yesterday, didn't know anything about this random testing until the dealer went through the walk through with me.

The truck had over 200km on it!!! The salesman showed me a letter from the Dearborn plant stating they had an random test on my truck???

Is this something new? Anybody had the same experience?

They pick trucks at random and put them through various tests and and drive them around the plant. Most people find them to have 100-125 miles on them when they do.

If you search, you will find that this does happen and is completely common practice for them to do this.

Yep. Ordered my '12 Eco last year. Arrived with 64 miles on it.
Dealer showed the paper work and explained why there were miles.

Mine was tested also, I think it had 40 something miles on it.

Assembly plant execs laying patches in the parking lot and using as personal vehicle for a week. No worries <grin>.

Back when I bought my 06 lariat it had something like 104 or 105 miles on it. after i had it for about 3or4 days i found a small slip of paper under the drivers seat that said that it had been randomly selected for a test drive /quality assurance at the plant. it stated that they drove it 99 miles.

wow damn, I guess I was not the only one, wish I could have known what I got signed up for. but this is a first time for me buying a truck, very interesting experience...

order placed early June, got my vin end of July, delivery yesterday.

There's a couple of liquor stores down the street from the plant, someone probably had to go get lunch. J/K
