I have a 2012 Ecoboost FX4 with a build date of May 29th 2012. I don't have a CAC part number but it did come from the factory with a deflection plate on the CAC.
Everything has been great with this truck for over 12,000 miles until this past weekend. I have driven in some pretty humid conditions here in the Northeast with no issues. Sunday, I was traveling on I -93 North in New Hampshire to the NASCAR race around 6:00am. It was so hot and humid I had to run the wipers due to the condensation in the air. I had been traveling for about an hour at 68 mph in the middle lane and needed to pass a car so I switched into the left lane stepped on the gas and BAM! My truck just started stuttering and bucking for about 20 seconds all the way down to 50 mph. Then it cleared up and all was fine the rest of the trip.
I took it to my dealer today and explained the story when I dropped it off. Three hours later they called me to say they have found no trouble codes or problems of any kind but that they ordered me a new CAC and I think I'm getting TSB'S 13-3-3 in a few days when the new part comes in. I really hopes this helps as I love this truck and thought I was one of the lucky ones with no problems. After it's installed I'll drive it a while then post as to any power or MPG gains or loses.
Wish me luck......

I have a 2013 with a April 2013 build date and I had the shudder and loss of power when I went to pass a big rig around 65/75 mph going up hill. It was while driving in the rain and keeping a steady 70 mph for hours. This happend on July 3rd. It was the only time I've had it happen.

I had my CAC and cat replaced two weeks ago because the flow sensors on my truck measured a restriction in the cat.

Anyway, my truck is a 2011 and I have not noticed a drop in mpg or static power. On acceleration, the truck feels just a little softer, a thing that I suspect is from Ford fattening up the map under acceleration in order to be able to still fire a cylinder inhaling water vapor.*

Anyway, I think Ford is still using the original map for static states but has richened the mixture while accelerating, a thing that if true would account for some people reporting a loss of power and worse fuel mpg.

* Theory: engines make more power and heat burning leaner but a lean burn also is a double-edged sword in that anything other than perfect conditions can cause a misfire, sending all that unburned fuel to the cat, which cannot burn it all without some coking up.

Default TSB 13-3-3 Drivability Update

Well it's been about 1,100 miles since I had TSB 13-3-3 done which included a new CAC and computer update. I have only driven in the same conditions that caused my problem twice since the update but so far so good! My butt dyno can feel just the slightest loss of power, however my overall fuel milage has actually gone up .6 mpg as hand calculated! I feel pretty lucky as it was only a few weeks later that Ford decided to stop replacing the CAC for this problem and just stick a plastic plate over the existing CAC. If anything changes I'll let everybody know.

It's been raining here for the past 3 days and I have tried and tried to create the 'shudder' but to no avail. Everytime I punched it on the highway (after driving steady for long periods) - it just WENT, and quick - traction control kicking in as the wheels broke out on the wet road.

So for me so far - March 2013 Kansas City build - never had the shudder.

WOW, what a bunch of threads on this issue, quite a few hours reading....and saw the poll, so straight to the point...

Have 2014 EB, not sure build date. 76k miles, and in all the years...not one issue WRT this, ever, until this year....

Many long trips, to PA, LA, Carolina's, etc....no issues...and at various seasons, mainly summer, LA during peak hot /humid/storm season...

CAC p/n is DL34-9L440-AD 305, no shield across it. No TSBs performed (problem started last month, incrementally.

Just drilled the hole (1/8")...we shall see...

When i say incrementally, i mean various driving conditions, leaving the house, starting from stop (be it sign or light), cruising @ 60 on highway. Once was so bad, chirped rear tires. MPH would drop hard, RPM race to between 3-5k, then all normal after a few seconds....NO engine light ever...no codes, checked.

I'll update as I drive...

Update 23Aug20
Drove a bit yesterday, no issues. raining, mid 80s. Drove today, and on the way home, it did it again, only going about 40, 90s, humidity 60%.....maybe make the hole 3/16....

Update 07Sep20
Well things were going ok, then it started up again, some episodes were only a few seconds long before power returned. I changed all plugs, fouled pretty good. Seemed ok for a few days, then all hell broke loose, even leaving my driveway I lost power and truck coasted down to end of block before it came back. Had enough, traded it in Sat for a new one. Don’t have time to keep dealing with it or trips to the dealer.

By the way, I’ve ran JLT oil separators on my truck since new, and on all my mustangs. That nasty milky crap coming out of people’s cac drain holes wouldn’t be an issue with this separator, nor get into your intake. Give it a try.
