So I just wanted to return with the results of how everything went with the dealer and my truck. I took it in on Tuesday and didn't get it back until Friday. When they first tested for the leak they determined it was coming from the sirius satellite antenna. They made repairs to it by removing it and applying silicone. They retested for leaks and it was still leaking. At this point they took pictures and sent them to ford to get further instructions on what to do. Ford responded by instructing them to reseal the windshield. So a local glass company came out and resealed the windshield. They recommended that the truck sit for 24hrs before driven. So on Friday i was able to pick my truck up! They did retest the truck for leaks after the windshield was resealed and said that it no longer leaked.

So overall i am satisfied with how things went. It did take a little longer than expected. but all the work was covered under warranty and they gave me a rental for the week. Now the real test is to see if the fix actually holds up during the next rain.

I have the same issue with my truck it has happened 3 times since I bought it new. The first time it filled the floor mat to overflowing saturating the carpet and head liner on the passenger side from the windshield to about the back of the front seat. water was dripping out of the headliner and a steady stream was coming out of the grab handle. It was summer and it had been raining non stop for 3 days when I discovered it. If you could help it would be appreciated. I can't send a pm evidently as I tried and it didn't show any as being sent to you.

In my case it was the sunroof leaking. I had icicles hanging from the grab handle and my floor mat was full. The dealer had to replace the sunroof frame and he added additional silicone to it as well. If you have the leak in the front it really should only be the sunroof, sat antenna, or the windshield. If mine was not under warranty, I would have run water on the top of the windshield. If no leaks, run it on the antenna, and then on the sunroof.

Hope you get it straightened out.

Just a quick update, my truck sat overnight in some pretty strong rain last night but no leaks this morning. Seems my leak was coming from the windshield. As someone else posted earlier, if you are having the same issue it could be one of three things sun/moon roof, Sirius satellite antenna, or windshield.

My advise to you if you run into this issue is if you are under warranty take it to the dealer. If you are not under warranty take a hose and try to isolate where the water is leaking from. If it's the moon roof or the windshield I would get ahold of your local automotive glass company and have them reseal it. If it's your antenna. Remove it and apply a fresh coat of silicon to it...

Hope this helps.

While less common I had my 2011 leak under the window from the cowl through a bad weld in the firewall. By the time they figured that out my truck smelled moldy. Never did really get that smell all the way out.
