Default 2013 Brake Lines

Hey everybody, new member here looking for some help. I recently broke the brake line from the ABS module to the front left brake hose(Motorcraft part# Bl3Z2264B). I was wondering if the line for a 2012 (Motorcraft part# 9L3Z2264B) would fit. The correct part has been discontinued so any help is appreciated.

Default Brake line replacement

Buy a generic premade line slightly longer and just make one. I have done so many times. A tubing bender is cheap and easy to use. Practice on the old line. You can even get a connector to put 2 pieces of steel line together with no ill effect, if you can’t land close enough with a single premade piece. By premade I mean it is already double staged and has threads on both ends.

Is it something you can get in a salvage yard?

I haven’t found one yet. I’m going to try my hand at making one this weekend.

Default Replacing a line/hose

Spray PB blaster or Kroil a day or two ahead of time on line and hose work. It will also help the sheet metal fork clamp that holds the hose in place. Lastly be prepared to heat joint a little if necessary instead of twisting it off, the hose is junk anyway even a propane torch helps a lot. 10-15 seconds often does the trick.
