Default Switching Tow Mirror Glass?

I want to get rid of the convex glass in the right side mirror.
Does anyone know if a relacement left side glass will mount in the right side housing?

Why on earth would you do such a thing? Your right-side blind spot will become humongous and it will be dangerous to drive.

I still haven't fixed mine, can't believe the tow mirror has convex glass on it, pretty much defeats the usefulness. I struggled with it all summer with my boat.

Anyway search for 5291H in google and you can find right flat glass for less than $50

I haven't done it yet.... But I may just order it soon.

Here's what looks to be a better deal.

With both of these options it looks like this is the glass only and you need to re-use your current backing plate. Looks like 7 years of bad luck for this mod

Sort of related, just didnt want to start a new thread for a single question.

I have the two mirrors on my 2010 FX4 (heated/power) and I need to change out the upper ride side glass. How do you unclip the mirror from the motor?
